2016
There has been much wonderful activity over the last couple of years in the Ciccolella household. On the TV screen Jude has guest starred in PERCEPTION, MAJOR CRIMES, the Lifetime movie BEAUTIFUL AND TWISTED with Rob Lowe, and NCIS NOLA, directed by his good friend James Whitmore Jr. He also recurred ( 8 EPISODES) in the Robert Rodriguez created series, MATADOR. Returning to the stage in 2015, Jude performed at the Actors Studio Festival in Gena Acosta’s enthusiastically received THAT SULLIVAN GIRL, and for six months as Max in the highly acclaimed Pacific Resident Theater production of Harold Pinter’s THE HOMECOMING, directed by Guillermo Cienfuegos. A special treat was singing “Blue Xmas” and “I’ll be Home for Xmas” in the CHRISTMAS MUSICAL SPECTACULAR with the LOS ANGELES PREMIER ORCHESTRA at the Alex Theater in Glendale, conducted by the late Norman Mamey. A genuine thrill!

The Jude Ciccolella Band, with Candy Chase, Craig Stull, Doug Livingston, and bandleader Bill Severance, remains one of the main draws at Viva Cantina in Burbank. This is their eighth year. There are plans for an evening of just originals, just country, and the Great American Songbook. And, of course, THE HORMONES ( SYLVA KELEGIAN and CATHY G) and JOHN “NOT OF THIS EARTH” TIMMONS were huge audience favorites when they joined the band at XMAS time. Jude’s fifth CD, A LIFETIME TO SHOW, was released in early 2016.

This has been a fecund time for Mrs. Ciccolella, SYLVA KELEGIAN. She and Lisa Richards triumphed in the Whitmore Eclectic production of NIGHT MOTHER-- brilliantly directed by Aliah Whitmore. Sylva also published two award winning books; her memoir, GOD SPELLED BACKWARDS: THE JOURNEY OF AN ACTRESS INTO THE WORLD OF DOG RESCUE, which is a Beverly Hills Book Award memoir finalist and a memoir Global Ebook award winner, and THE DOLPHIN PRINCESS, a children’s fiction Beverly Hills Book Award winner, a children’s literature fiction Global Ebook award winner, and a children’s story book CIPA “merit” winner.

Finally, on a sad note, Jude and Sylva lost their little twelve year old pup, Goggin, last summer. Blind and crippled, she was a brave little dog who, mercifully, passed away in her sleep.

The Ciccolella family continues to reside in the Golden State, enjoying the blessings of the sunshine, the music, the theater, a tremendous group of friends, and, of course, their beloved pets.
